Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable.

Maybe stepping out of your comfort zone is something you haven’t considered before or maybe you just don’t feel you can.

But why would anyone want to be uncomfortable I hear you say, well..

Make Change

Imagine trying to train yourself to do the splits, yet every day you stretch you only go as far as you did the day before, remaining in your comfort zone. You would never progress or achieve your goal of reaching the splits because you never pushed past the level of comfort to become more flexible.

To make progress we must push past comfort.

What is a Comfort Zone?

Your comfort zone is the psychological barrier that keeps you feeling calm, relaxed, and in control.

It’s your safe space, the abilities and limits you know you are capable of and comfortable with, and no sign of uncertainty or struggle.

The trouble comes when you stay in your comfort zone for too long.

The comfort zone is a place of certainty and familiarity which can be great, however, if you want to grow, progress, learn, and, achieve new things then you need to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself.

Get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

If you’re reading this I’m assuming it’s because you want to know how to step out of your comfort zone, and, how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Identifying limits

Identify your current Limits

To be able to push past your limits and step outside of your comfort zone, you need to be clear on where those zones are and, what makes you feel uncomfortable.

Ask yourself, where are your limits?

What is it that holds you back?

Perhaps it’s a lack of confidence in not feeling capable? Feeling anxious or worried that you will fail or make a “bad” decision?

The best way to figure out where your limits are and what is causing them is to Journal and become aware of your subconscious thoughts throughout the day.

Notice the way you speak to yourself. Are you encouraging or holding yourself back?

Limiting belifes

Break through your Limits

Take the next step in going further than your current limits. Once you’ve done it once your limits slowly increase and your comfort zone expands.

Feeling scared, anxious, or worried are very normal feelings and responses to trying new things and stepping into the unknown.

However whilst there are situations in which these feelings prevent us from danger, they can also prevent us from growing, expanding our skills, and experiencing new things.

We must challenge ourselves to feel the fear and do it anyway.

Nothing changes in our comfort zone.

Stepping out of our comfort zones is essential for personal growth and development. While it may feel safe and familiar within our comfort zone, true transformation and progress lie beyond its boundaries.

By challenging ourselves and trying new experiences, we push ourselves to learn, adapt, and improve. It is only when we embrace discomfort that we can discover our full potential and achieve things we never thought possible.

Change can be intimidating, but it is through these challenges that we learn more about ourselves and our capabilities.

Embrace the unknown, push yourself beyond what is comfortable, and watch yourself grow in ways you never imagined.

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone – that's where the magic happens.
